Ataa’ Ibn Abi Rabah [Allah bless him]
‘I have not seen anyone that they intend with knowledge, the pleasure of Allah, other than these three: Ataa, Ta’oos and Mujahid [Allah bless them all]’.
[Salamah Ibn Kuhayl – Allah bless him]
Here, we are in the first of the last ten [days] of the month Dhul Hijjah, corresponding to the year 97 Hijrah. This ancient house [Kabah], flocks arrive towards Allah [Kabah] from every path.
Walking and riding. Old and young, men and women. Amongst them are black and white [all colours and races]. Arabs and Non-Arabs. Leaders and slaves. Surely all have come towards the master of mankind, fearing [Allah], reciting the talbiyah, full of hope [of mercy].
This Sulaiman Ibn Abdil Malik [One of the leading caliphs of Banu Umayah], was the caliph of the muslims and one of the great leaders. He would circumambulate the ancient house, with his head uncovered, barefooted, he would have nothing on except 2 clothes [Upper and lower garment]. His state in that, is like the state of all those left from his subjects, those that are his brothers in faith.
