This article is a brief biography of the Sahabah and the Tabioon. It includes a list of Sahabah and Tabioon who have narrated hadith, with a brief biogrpahy regarding them. It is ordered alphabetically with first the Sahbah and then the Tabioon. In Islamic sciences this is termed as ‘Ilm ar-Rijal’.

Letter ‘Hamza’ [A]
Sahaba [Allah be pleased with them all]
- Anas Ibn Malik [Allah bless him]: He is Anas Ibn Malik Ibn Nadhr [Allah bless him], His technonym is Abu Hamza Khazraji, the servant of The Noble Messenger of Allah [Allah bless him], his mother is Umm Sulaym bint Milhan. The Noble Messenger of Allah [Allah bless him] came to Madinah whilst he was 10 years old. He then moved to Basrah in the khilafah of Umar [Allah bless him], to teach the people therein. He was the last one to pass away in Basrah from the companions [Allah bless him] in the year corresponding to 93 Hijri [93 AH], at the age of 103 years old. It is also said he was 99 years old. Ibn Abdil Bar al-Maliki [Allah bless him] states: ‘He had 100 children [from his progeny] and this is authentic. It is also said he had 78 sons and 2 daughters. Many people have narrated from him. It is narrated in a hadith from Sahih Bukhari that Anas Ibn Malik informed me that he was 10 years old when The Noble Messenger of Allah [Allah bless him] came to Madinah.
